Things Worth Knowing

The Fuzz

First of all…there is a new BT website up…unofficcial, yet thorough, Mr. G has done the man some good. Thanks for the small, obscure, plug at the bottom of the discog, lol. Here it is. Clicky.

After some brief confirmation, Never Gonna Come Back Down was definitely the song most added on radio stations across the country this week. This means that it was added into full rotation ie: you’ll hear it at least once every four hours. He is no longer BT…we shall now call him ROCK STAR!, lol.

Dreaming went from #8 to #5 on the billboard dance charts this week. That means in three weeks it went from #21 to #8 to #5. WOW. Oof, You know damn well Nettwerk is wondering, “Oh my God, what the F%$#”.

and BT is a heterosexual and doesn’t smoke, so stop asking.

An Update on Dreaming

The Fuzz

Nettwerk has decided to release Dreaming as a single in the states after all. Apparently the reviews of the album mentioning that track combined with the reviews in the UK of the Dreaming single (just released) itself, have thrown a little fuel onto the fire. Wonder if they’ll do a video…don’t count on it.

The official BT site has been updated with some nifty little audio samples and stuff. Still haven’t credited the discography to this site and everyone who helped.

And by popular demand…email LuceLuna with your top five BT songs/Collaborations. Tis a survey that needs more attention. Results to be posted soon via Mr. Luna.

BT will be in Phoenix this Friday and a few hours outside of LA on Saturday for the Electric Day Festival. The hotline still reveals nothing as to where it’ll be yet, other than there will be 40 acres of open camping ground. Wow. I can tell you it ain’t in West Hollywood. I wanna drive around on the bumper cars while BT blasts Smartbomb to the thousnds of screaming ankle-biters…I mean fans. I’m deryg-free so I sure hope they sell beer. Tis all for now.

A Hefty Update

The Fuzz

Okay folks, stop emailing me regarding the instrumental in Gone in 60 Seconds. The details have been in the discography for 3 weeks now: The song is called Down and it begins at the start of the first car stealing scene…Where Angelina Jolie is stealing the Ferrari. please stop asking me about it, I’m going nuts; easily 30 emails in 2 weeks.

MISL entered the Virgin Megastore Hollywood location top 10…sliding in at #8; it’s #3 on their dance charts. Although the Hollywood location tends to be quite liberal to the dance scene, it is also quite possibly the busiest Virgin Megastore in the country. Still not a single CD5 in the singles bin, though.

  • The past few days on teh Message Board have dwiddled down the lyrical possibilities of NGCBD (or have they expanded them?). That and Shame have been added to the lyrics.
  • The Electric Daisy Carnival is this weekend here in the surrounding area of LA. Rumors have it as being as far away as San Diego. Crap. Better get my oil changed.
  • Peter Gabriel’s OVO: The Millenium Dome is out in the stores. Details on BT’s participation is in the discography. And as always, it’s getting rave reviews.
  • Calendar and Tour to be updated soon. Additional CD sleeves have been upped as well as a few minor additions into the discography. Nothing spectacular for all you nutso fans.

A few things…updated to this update…NGCBD has finally been added to KROQ’s full rotation. So if your in LA, expect to hear it once every 4 hours. Next. Dreaming is #5 on the Billboard dance chart. I smell a monster of an album. And Billboard loves it…even though some of the reviewers’ facts are incorrect. Did I mention he’s already started recording his next CD? I heard a snippit on the phone. Satellite meets Flaming June was what I got…

On June 6, 2000, Movement in Still Life Was released in the US and that afternoon he participated in two online interviews. Both are now available in the Multimedia section. Special thanks to BenMonkey.

Although Never Gonna Come Back Down is on full rotation on several radio stations throughout the US, KROQ in LA does not have it as so. Call and request it, wink The number is 1-800-520-1067. Also, call The END in Seattle, Washington at 1-800-423-1077

Several uncommissioned mixes of Dreaming have been showing up on Napster. These are mixes that were done using Mixman. DJ “this” mix and DJ “that” mix as well as my own mix, lol…The Fuzz Micks. I haven’t seen that one out there, yet, though. I put the Fuzz Micks in the Multimedia section. And don’t laugh, it’s my first remix EVER.

Nettwerk had some pretty cool DAPs made for BT as well as some banners. If you want to check out the DAPs…click the link. PC MAC. I will hopefully be putting up the banner(s) here pretty soon.

The Tour Section and Calendar have been updated with a few things, including a few minor tour date corrections.

The Dreaming CD5 has been released in the UK with 3 tracks. No plans for a US release (other than vinyl). The US release for Never Gonna Come Back Down with several remixes…including one by Timo Maas, as of right now, will not be released to the masses via single. Promo Only. Damn. Another $100 purchase on Ebay, I suppose.

Bits and Blurbs

The Fuzz

BT left for the UK today…rumor has it he’ll be completing the Re(Verb) CD while out there.

Never Gonna Come Back Down is going to be featured on the Gone in 60 Seconds Soundtrack. BT also did a 3 minute score cue for the film…don’t know for which scene.

A CD bootleg of BT - Live in Vancouver on 5/12/00 just went for $76 on Ebay. Tracklisting in the bootleg section of the discography.

Dreaming (Lucid Edit) now in multimedia section

So BT had two online appearances today: at http://www.SpikeRadio.com and http://www.Grooveradio.com (w/ DJ Rap). Hope all were able to have a listen.

Some BIG news revealed on the online interviews. BT stated that the early bird owners of the initial first release of US MISL will be able to send in their barcodes for an extremely limited bonus disc. WOW! Hope things don’t change and this actually happens.

He also mentioned that he wrote 29 songs for MISL…I counted 18 so far…Lord knows we all now want every one, lol.

With special thanks to Ben Lewis, the online interviews are available. Must have RealPlayer. Check the Multimedia section.

Some details in BT’s LA appearance via http://www.electricdaisycarnival.com/ and http://www.ravelinks.com. Special thanks to LR for that.

No other spectacular news at the moment except a reminder to check the “Calendar” for all upcoming BT events. We are working on getting detailed contact information for his concerts, hopefully making it much easier for all to get to see the man.

Newer, better, faster!

The Fuzz

We’re back up and running. New Server, same domain. Thank you all for your patience and our sincerest apologies for all of you that have been waiting for your BT fix. More tour dates added for the month of July and a new interview (special thanks to JB).

Also, the submissions…and re-submissions are IN. Thank you all so much for participating in the signed “Dreaming 12”” contest. Many of your entries were forwarded to the man himself. Yet, among the many, unfortunately only 5 copies are available. It has been extremely difficult to select only 5…especially dfficult to exclude #6.

Trust us…we would give every single fan one if we could. And hopefully in the months ahead you will all have the opportunity to obtain something scribbled on by BT.

HERE ARE THE RESULTS

BT working on Gone In 60 Seconds

The Fuzz

BT is doing some scoring for Gone in 60 Seconds - a summer blockbuster starring Nicolas Cage and Acadamy Award winner Angelina Jolie - coming to a theater near you.

And now for something…. completely different.

The Fuzz

Found the perfect tie for BT at http://www.digities.com. Not that he’s really a tie wearin’ kinda guy, but the binary code (01010101010101010101) on this sucker makes it the perfect Christmas or Birthday gift for him…or his obsessed fans (I didn’t order it).

B-Sides, Promos, MISL, Cannes

The Fuzz

Well just as multiple copies of Fibonacci Sequence on wax have been scraping up $100+ on Ebay…the scoop:

  • The white label pressings were bootlegs
  • Headspace/Pioneer is officially releasing it in about two weeks (single sided 12”). Check the discography.
  • Dreaming is NOT coming out on CD in the US, 12” only. UK CD and 12”. Looks like I’ll be spending another million bucks.
  • Sunblind will be a B-Side sometime in the near future
  • the US promo of MISL has been released…or is at least ready to be released. Check the Discography.
  • Under Suspicion will be showing this year at the 53rd Annual Cannes Film Festival in Cannes, France (May 10-21, 2000). It will nit be in competition, but under the “Special Screenings” section of the Festival. Click the link below to see a complete list of the films showing this year. 53rd Annual Cannes Film Festival Films

Bad news for MISL US

The Fuzz

WOW. Big bummer news:

  • The bonus disc on the first 30,000 US releases has been cancelled. Yes, it’s true. 1 disc only. No bonus material.
  • The UK rerelease of MISL on June 19 will have a bonus disc with color alterations in the cover. No news on the track listing.
  • Tour dates updated
  • New release of Libra presents Taylor uploaded into Discography section (Alias)
  • Third Degree (aka Under Suspicion) may not get a US release at all. Rumors have it being purchased for distribution by USA films, although nothing confirmed. Look for it at a video store near you, and I doubt you’ll find the score anywhere.

I’m bummed. Don’t come any closer.

Rumors and News

The Fuzz

Some rumors are true…and one…yet hopefully, is false.

  • MISL will be rereleased in the UK on June 19, 2000 with a bonus disc…including Fibonacci Sequence
  • Fibonacci will at least get a vinyl release in the UK…nothing on a CD5, yet, though.
  • BT did NOT do the Mission Impossible 2 theme as some sites have stated, including http://www.imdb.com. This has been confirmed from the source himself. As much as we would have all wanted him to…he didn’t.
  • Tour dates galore coming soon to the Tour section, including the UK
  • A likely revamping of the Index page in the near future…condensing sections and making it easier to browse…

That’s it for today…
