Some are saying this, I enjoyed it and thought people here might see the brilliance as well:

Jacaszek: —Treny

After a few listens you might agree.

Just one?

Pendulum - In Silicio
Bon Iver - For Emma, Forever Ago
Rachael Yamagata - Elephants .... Teeth Sinking into Heart

I love me some Kings of Leon too, but I don’t know if that’s list worthy.

Oh!

Nicole Atkins - Digs Other Peoples Songs Ep (her cover of crystal ship is fantastic.  But it’s a cover EP and therefore not best album worthy, I don’t think.  But it’s some goodness.)

This has been a fucking rad year for music. I’ve whored each of these for at least a couple months at a time and all of them I keep coming back to. The first two on the list, in particular, stubbornly refuse to leave my player.

M83 - Saturdays = Youth
The Presets - Apocalypso
Cut Copy - In Ghost Colours
OceanLab - Sirens of the Sea
Dousk - Kind of Human

I agree with most of the records on Devon’s list - only I would leave out Apocalypso by The Presets. I do have it on vinyl and think it’s OK but for some reason I find the record a bit uninspired and boring. And the vocals are horrible at times.
