Hi guys!

So, in the past two days, I’ve become mildly obsessed with the Ferrari California.  I have also succeeded in getting every gearhead I know (which is a disturbing amount) obsessed with it too. I’m digging the beautiful lines and they’re oozing over the sound of the engine. That’s not the point.  The music playing is fantastic and oddly familiar.  Anyone have any ideas about who might be the artist behind it?

Beyond that, how have y’all been?

It sounds ridiculously close to Bluetech’s sound design on Prima Materia and Sines and Singularities, but it’s not. Other discarded but ridiculously similar-sounding albums, that you’ll probably enjoy in the meantime:

Edit: It’s either Trentemoller, or a no-name artist doing a really good impersonation of him. The bass is lifted almost straight from Take Me Into Your Skin, off his incredible album The Last Resort.

not sure… maybe Trentemoller. Did you try emailing their customer service? You never know…

It is a cool piece of music. I doubt its Trentemøller. It sounds like someone trying to do something in the style of Trentemøller, but without the same level of detail. My guess is it was done by one of the advertising music houses in LA or NY like Elias Arts, Finger Music. A lot of well known and mid-level IDM artists on Merck or Ghostly etc do work through those ad houses. Just a guess.
