not a bad year so far.  like the fact that Goldfrapp went back to more darker minimal approach of the first album.

Orb has got some catchy tunes but nothing beyond 7min long tracks.  need more spaced out shit.

Vinnie, what say you.  anything else coming out soon?

I’m not up to speed as much as you this go around.  Tobin always delivers (but I don’t faithfully check him out on each release ;( ).  I’ve heard one Goldfrapp album (2004) that I dig…so that will have to be investigated.  Orb has let me down for a while now.

Some fresh KiloWatts-related material available here and here.

Orb - I know what you mean.  I’d say that this album is an improvement over the last couple.

[quote author=“www.theorb.com”]The Orb, for years the most fearlessly fascinating sonic marauders on this or any other planet, return in February 2008 with a new album marking a long-awaited reunion between eternal mainstay Dr Alex Paterson and lifelong friend and original inter-galactic conspirator Youth.  The Dream sees a return to the original spirit which spawned the first two classic albums, The Orb’s Adventures In The Ultraworld and U.F. Orb. Working with former Dreadzone studio-wiz Tim Bran and a gaggle of guests, Alex and Youth have created a work of stunning beauty and immediacy while never losing sight of The Orb’s original quest to homage personal musical obsessions while exploring sonic territories few dare to tread. One of those rare albums which weaves its own unique magic after repeated listens.
