what the hell...i haven’t checked this place out in probably 4 months...working about a million part time jobs 6 days a week, all while trying to plan a wedding...and it turns out i still have a drama-meter. i’m home sick for the day and happen upon this bookmark hiding in a folder i haven’t looked in in ages, and good GOD!! BT drama!!! it never ends, does it?

how is everyone, anyway? smile

raj and i were actually organizing our cd collection over the weekend, and we got to my bt albums, and i was shocked at just how many different versions of the same album i owned! raj only partially got it, haha. i kind of don’t know what to do with my 8 versions of MISL, though. oy. and the singles of NGCBD and somnambulist and many others. like, seriously? do i really give a shit about the junkie xl remix of whatchamacallit? sigh. the crazy days of being a collector are far behind me.

seriously, how is everyone?

PS when is the wedding, anyway?

As someone that hasn’t so much as thought about checking here in over a year and just did so for no discernible reason.. I agree.  Holy shit indeed.  Apparently the drama train kept a rollin’ (possibly all night long).

Congrats btw.  =)

Not sure how I’m the person that finds this shit out when all of you people are the real fans who pay a hell of a lot more attention than I do these days…

BUT

http://longwaydown.realworldrecords.com/artist/bt_and_sasha

The notorious Party/DAT heard Dakane is on some comp that came out 12/3 I guess. For anyone that doesn’t have one of the unknown numbers of orig promo CDRs. (ie no one) I guess it is finally getting Real World released according to this official looking webpage…

Again, how does no one else know this? You people are spending too much time canvassing for Change We Can Believe In in Iowa!

Don’t tell anyone on the BT Music board, they prob wouldn’t even understand vintage 1998 stuff and it’s vast superiority and then their heads would explode and boy bands and old scary fans and bits of hero worshiping brain would go EVERYWHERE. Not that I have ever even read the BT Music board or know where it isn’t. Norgers are real fans. Norgers hunt BTMUSICRAZIES for sport. Actually i really really don’t give a shit at all, I just think even entertaining a whiff of something you’d have to call “Message Board Politics” makes me old and merry like some arrogant santa claus. We never banned anyone here did we? Except that hooker! She gave this board lies.

Anyway for people that still don’t know what I am talking about this is basically the Holy Grail of unreleased BT music. Look it up. And if you hear it and tell me it’s not as good as ET than you can git tha hell off ma websitte! You can look that up too! Also it’s in STEREO which is apparently the next great thing. Its like TWICE the MONORURRAL. BT and Sasha were the future in 1998. Seriously - if you put on that Seal record and you play it FRONTWARDS you can totally hear Seal say “THE FUTURE. THE FUTURE, THE FUTURE, THE FUTURE, THE FUTURE” It’s some serious Nostrildamus.

Carry On

Haha chas. I collected BT’s music all through the late ‘90s, yet I’ve still never heard any of the real world tracks. For some reason I was always confident they’d emerge one day. Awesome if true. If not, I’m still sure I’ll hear them before I die.

For the record, as far as I’m concerned, BT’s music ranks like this

1) Firewater
2) Let there be light - ultraviolet mix
3) everything else

As for board politics, I always fully enjoyed being in the position of not-fully-understanding outsider. Questions like, Where did Peach come from and what exactly happened there? Why exactly did the listening party piss so many people off? What was the deal with norgers.net? All things I was was happy in the knowledge that I was missing the big picture (probably because I could never be bothered to read threads all the way through).

Note to all: I do not require answers or opinions to the above questions, I’m happy with my knowledge of them as it stands (which is far too little to make any sense out of)

p.s. I’ve been watching this series on BBC2 (UK-er that I am) - and I would not have had a clue that I’d been hearing extracts from the fabled real-world sessions! amazing.

Congrats to OG for the great news!

And kudos to Chas for randomly posting in this thread with some of the most relevant info I’ve read in a long while. The soundclip from the Real World sessions is quality stuff.

thanks for the kind wishes, joe, biotracer and racer x smile

love is great, but planning a wedding can be hellish.

the drama is an interesting thing to behold. i have gotten into the habit of checking in here pretty much every day, because things seem to change so frequently as the story unfolds. it is, in a way, a really hard thing to witness without judging, and yet (probably because there was a time when i considered myself to be close to these people), i can’t drag myself away from watching it develop. it makes me sad, on many levels.

love to you all.

and hey, BEACH HOOOOUUUUSE!!!!!! wink

hey now, is that a reference to Vinnie and I?  I was gonna say it, but felt little shy.

CONGRATULATIONS!!!
