Actually just got this album (I know, long overdue purchase...) and I have a few favorites, but I absolutely love the vocoder song, “hide and seek.” That and “Daylight Robbery.”

My personal favorite is actually “Can’t Take It In,” her one-off production for Chronicles of Narnia.

All of her projects are very cohesive and carry out an introspective sound. something I’ve learned about her over the years listening to her work. Its quite neat where she wants to go next. for awhile i did hear a remix of “hide and seek”, but then it disappeared. curious if she might release it elsewhere.

Ooh, I would love to hear a remix of “hide and seek.” But that’s a song where you could really, really screw it up.  But if it was done right, it could be an amazing track.

<3 Imogen Heap. “Can’t take it in” is lovely and has the honours of being my top played Imogen Heap track (222 plays). Though from “Speak for yourself” I always find myself going back to “Headlock.”

Question: where can I find “Can’t Take It In” ?
It’s not on ITMS and when the movie first came out I couldn’t find it anywhere besides a some album which I wouldn’t buy just for that song. (even thought I’ve bought pretty much every other artist’s album she’s collaborated on)

So far as I know, it’s only available on the Chronicles of Narnia soundtrack. Worthy of note that the included score by Harry Gregson-Williams is fantastic work.

One of my most favorite albums for 2006.  My favorite song is the last track… The Moment I said it.  Quite possibly the most gorgeous track since Firewater (BT) for me.

LOVE imogen…

i know there are some Hide and Seek remixes around somewhere… i recall an acoustic version that Glen Phillips [of Toad the Wet Sprocket] did that ruled - when he finally remembered the words and warmed up to sing without breaking key.. lol
I think she had a remix competition some time ago, there might be tracks up on her official page or myspace.

Btw Tiesto brought up in his myspace blog, that he’s done a collab with Imogen Heap on a track for ISOS Vol 06’. Very curious to what it may sound like. Hopefully he will have a demo sound test page sometime soon. Since this album is due pretty soon.

The best Hide and Seek remix I’ve heard was done by someone who was at one time a member of this site… It gets played on Sirius somewhat regularly.

Yep, that would be Mikey, also the Somnambulist winner of BT’s BPM/M-Audio remix contest. He’s done multiple remixes for Wideband Network (including one with Tanner), one for Basic Pleasure Model and most recently got approached to do a remix of Future Funk Squad’s Towards The Sun. It’s all fantastic stuff—we just need more of it.

Has that been confirmed?  You can’t post if it is not confirmed… smile Hadn’t noticed who was checking back into the new site…

I also agree with the toward the sun remix being really good..  And considering the company he is keeping with the other remixers of that song that is quit an accomplishment.  The hybrid remix sounds like the just went to a standard formula and whipped up something that sounds like everything else, and kind of the same can be said for the Evil Nine remix… Every time I hear the Evil Nine remix I expect to here “We don’t like it when...”

Not to get off topic but Evil Nine’s “Cakehole” from the You Can Be Special Too album is the tits in my opinion.  I did a remix of Crooked with some samples from Redman and Cypress Hill and it’s the friggin bomb yo.

But yeah we love Mikey.  tongue

r3volve is so very good, his imogen heap remix is beautiful. i read about james zabiela playing it as the sun rose at EXIT 006 in Serbia, and having been to that festival this year and witnessing the sheer awesomeness of it (seriously, if you ever get the chance to go, do it, very special event) i am intensely jealous of anyone who was there smile

I agree with “Headlock” I love the energy in that song! And actually “The Walk” exceeds all others in playcount by a bit; that was my anthem for the longest time. “Cumulus” is fantastic as well.

I actually just breezed through her spot in the IMS to see what i might be missing - to my surprise there’s actually a lot! ["Can’t Take It In” is there as well, Freedom vs Tyranny ;) at least on the US version..] “Spooky” from the Just Like Heaven soundtrack seems to have a much more organic, funky style than what I’ve heard from her before since I Megaphone. It reminds me a lot of Feist, with the sort of doo-wop backing vocals, and a little guitar riff similar to one heard in Smartbomb. I like it a lot [but pisser itunes! it’s only available by purchasing the whole album! :( ]. She has a ton of collabs. And I’m sick of waiting for the BT collab already!! lol

Btw, r3volve, is there anywhere I can get your Hide & Seek mix [love it!]? The only version i have is in one of Rageous’ mixes. . .
