A girlfriend of mine posted an interview of Aaron Russo the director of America: Freedom to Fascism which delves deeper into the illegality of the Federal Reserve Bank and their plan for world domination, world government, and enslavery of the people.

We’re talking Nazi Germany on an unprecedented (global) scale if action is not taken to stop it.

Wake the hell up people.  We’re Americans and Freedom is what we stand for.  My father’s life was destroyed by the IRS.  I grew up below the poverty line as a result.  He’s 58 years old and this is what he lives in.

cabin.jpg

How can we possibly allow this to happen to the people that we love the most?  How can this man who raised and taught the values of love, compassion, and truth to me be allowed to die in a cabin because we’re paying for debt owed by the U.S. Government to the Federal Reserve Bank?

Unacceptable… Please carve some time out of your busy schedules, working hard to pay someone’s yacht payment, to watch this movie and decide whether you want YOUR Dad or Mom or Sister or Brother or Daughter or Son to die in a fucking makeshift cabin.

I have watched the first part of this video and will watch it properly when i get home from work tonight.

Granted from what i have seen it seems a little frightful and i certainly feel for your family who have to live in such conditions....

However in regards to taxes.....  as with death taxes are the only certainty in life.  In Australia we have one of the highest tax rates in the world, i pay 40 cents in every dollar that i earn along with a goods and services tax with every purchase that i make of 10% (gst), yet as much as i hate (as everyone else does) paying tax, without it my countrymen & I would not have:

Affordable education
A medical system that ensures when i am sick i can go to a doctor and not have to pay a cent
A welfare system that ensure that my grandparents are looked after and do not have to work (i have seen few things more heartbreaking than watching an 80 year old man employed as a street sweeper at disneyland or a 70 year woman serving me a burger and fries at Maccas - that just doesn’t happen here)
A welfare system that helps pay to live whilst looking for a job, that pays you to learn a new trade

No our system is far from perfect, but to have the choice of not paying taxes and my government not being able to look after my 101 year old grandfather or paying taxes and being able to go to the doctor because i have an ear infection and getting antibotics i know which option i would choose.

yes it takes a responsible government to ensure the money is getting spent wisely, we just had a 17.4 Billion Dollar surplus maybe that doesnt seem a lot to americans but for a country with only 21 million people that is huge and a hell of a lot better than your trillion dollar deficit.

you cant have it all, no taxes and have your people looked after, where do you think the money is going to come from??????

and you can say all you like about the country not needing income tax or whatever, but take a look around your country..... look at the poverty, look at new orleans look at the ghettos and the slums, instead of slamming income tax how about slamming the use of that money and stand up and say you dont want that money being spent on war, how about the american people getting off their growing arses and VOTE!! yes strange concept but damn it vote for a government that you want who will spend the money you want, stop making hysterical videos about 9/11, taxes etc and DO SOMETHING ABOUT IT! VOTE!!  dont like the republican Governement, dont like George Bush well then do soemthing that counts and put pen to paper… think your voice wont count?  every voice counts when the voices join together to make a scream.  Stop focusing on how to reduce taxes for your own selfish purposes and start focusing on how to spend those taxes for the collective good.

Stop whinging about what is and isnt your constitutional rights, that is an outdated document that Americans fall back on as an excuse not to make change for the good.

seriously!  why is everything a bloody conspiracy???

I’ll write more when i finish watching the video

I was going to ask the same. Appears the sales and goods tax she pays is comparatively low at a rate of 10%. VAT and what you have, are much higher in EU generally, sometimes lower for food though.

Nic, is your 40% bracket on everything you earn?? Thats well steep!

it is a sliding scale:

Taxable income

$1 - $6,000

Nil

$6,001 - $30,000

15% for each dollar over $6,000 (maximum tax in this bracket is 15% of $24,000= $3,600)

$30,001- $75,000

$3,600 + 30% for each dollar over $30,000 (maximum tax in this bracket is $3,600 + $13,500= $17,100)

$75,001 - $150,000

$17,100 + 40% for each dollar over $75,000 (maximum tax in this bracket is $17,100 + $30,000 = $47,100)

$150,000+

$47,100 + 45% for each dollar over $150,000

ah.. yeah thats pretty harsh in some ways.. ours is something like:
0-£4k = nil
4k-6k = 10%
6k - 35k = 22%
35k+ = 40%

We could do with a 35-50kish bracket as well i think, but then once you start going about 50k i guess it gets less effective due to offshored money etc.

So did you ever finish watching the video?  Obviously not or else you would not have said half the things in your post.

Secondly… I have no problem paying “apportioned” taxes which is what YOUR gov’t does hence all the social programs.  It’s not a conspiracy it’s FACT.  The goverment does not print it’s own money.  All income taxes are used to pay off debt to the federal reserve.  None of that money goes to social programs.

Voting doesn’t have anything to do with it at this juncture.  Case in point, the American public elected Al Gore into office, but what did we get?  George W. Bush.  Why?  Watch the friggin film.

The Constitution of the United States of America is the foundation that this country is based upon.  It is not a damned outdated document.  I resent that comment, obviously from someone who has no earthly idea what it means to be a true American.  The last person who said what you just said was Mr. George W. Bush and I quote “It’s just a goddamned piece of paper.”.  Get a clue before you post please.

Additionally… On your comment about American’s not doing anything about it, I am doing my part to raise awareness in the hopes that people will get pissed of and take action.  But everyone’s to busy with their head up Pop Culture’s ass to care.

yes i did watch the rest of the video, and if you read my post you would have seen that i did say that i found its contents frightening, i also said that you should be lobbying your government to spend the money on social programs and spending the money wisely.

But yes you are correct in saying i have no idea what it means to be a ‘true American’ simply because i am not American, and sometimes i think thank god for that!

I have traveled to the States no less than 7 times in the last 10 years, half of my family is american, i have dated three americans, your country is beautiful, it is full of beautiful people but it breaks my heart that everyones head is stuck so far up the constitutions ass to realise that there are parts that need adjusting, that americans desperately need to start looking outside of themselves to see what is wrong with their country.  Using income tax to pay debt is juts one of your problems.

50% of eligible voters dont vote at all in your country.  Still think voting doesnt count?? that is 50% of your country that simply are too apathetic about the greatest country in the world.... think about THAT for a moment

yes your constitution may be what your country is built upon, but your country is falling apart, perhaps it is time to build something new.

Shrugs

I am sorry, you obviously posted the thread to create a discussion, i am sorry that i do not necessarily agree with your point of view, but isnt that one of the wonderful things about belonging to a democratic nation such as either of ours???

i respect your opinion, regardless of whether or not i agree with it.  but if you cant stand the heat then get out of the kitchen, nothing will change unless you confront what it is that you dont like

I’m not sure that it has anything to do with disagreement.  More of a lack of perspective.  Commenting on a thread where you obviously have a very limited concept of your own reality much less any red-blooded American’s will draw the ire out of people around here.  Most Americans who are in the “know” will wholeheartedly agree with the fact that there is an incredible amount of corruption here as we are the economic seat of the world.  That kind of money attracts evil on an epic scale.  And like you said it, you are a nation of 21 million people.  Take the wealth of the entire world and seat it in New York.  Now tell me that someone isn’t dying to get their hands on that money, because if they do then they rule the friggin world.  You really should go back and take a look at what was said about world domination in that video because you and England are going to be following suit rather quickly.  If I were you I’d stop worrying about America and start doing something about your own government before it gets out of control.  And quit sucking on America’s tit.

“but if you cant stand the heat then get out of the kitchen, nothing will change unless you confront what it is that you dont like”

And I fully intend to get out of the kitchen.  It’s gone too far already.  You’re either with the haves or the have nots.  The middle class is being eliminated from this country with a great deal of success.  So lets say we do stand up and do something about it.  Then what?  Then total anarchy which is exactly the opposite of the effect that would be intended.  Look at Russia and their decision to pursue “democracy”.  Yeah that was a great idea.

It’s the rise and fall of the Roman empire all over again.  Sorry I won’t be hanging around for the fireworks.

and that my friend we already are, our government will change come this November.  I never proclaimed Australia to be perfect, you don’t have to pull out the aggression to make your point.

Good for you too jump out of the fire and watch your country burn behind you.... what was that about being a true American???  i must have missed the part of definition that said being a true American meant jumping ship.

I am sorry if you have taken my words so personally, i never intended for that.  I am passionate about politics in particular Australian and American because like it or not the state of your country effects most of the rest of the western world, if you go down we all go down.  And not to mention my close family and friend ties with the States.

we obviously had two very different interpretations of the video you posted, nothing wrong with that.

peace

What living in America has taught me is that it’s every man for himself.  This country has been broken since the early 1900’s.  It wasn’t until the Nixon administration that the government blatantly showed disrespect for it’s inhabitants and it’s been a free for all ever since.  Sticking around and fighting in the Vietnam War, the Gulf War, or any other war for that matter is foolish and has shown historically that there are 2 types of people in this world, the quick, and the dead.  Yes I am disenfranchised because what I was taught as a youth in America, about freedom, equality, justice, and liberty is a big lie.  Notice that none of the politicians are sending their kids to war.  Notice Prince Harry didn’t go to war.  Well what makes them so different from any other person?  I can tell you that I’m not going to fall for that load of bullshit.  This country is being sold out as we speak by it’s leadership.  So there’s 2 choices you can make.  Stick around and suffer or do what you have to do to survive.  And speaking from personal experience, no one’s life is enriched by misery and enslavement.  They say that what does not kill us makes us stronger.  But I honestly think that sometimes all you learn is that you’re not dead.  I am not going to be anti-anything.  I choose to be pro-life and liberty and if that means that someone has moved my cheese and I have to find it somewhere else, so be it.

Other than being a part of the British commonwealth your country is probably the only other part of the world that stands a chance at surviving what is to come if shit hits the fan.  You have an entire unpopulated countryside, resources, independent infrastructure, and are isolated from the rest of the world.

There is nothing worth dying for there are only things worth living for.  I am sorry but that is what my leadership has taught me.  The video was there to shine a light on facts that otherwise could have been unnoticed by people who are watching the boob tube every day.  My work is done in that I have spread awareness about a situation that affects everyone here.  What people choose to do with said knowledge is their own business.

See the signature.  It says that I am a citizen of the world.  I do not for a moment think that it’s more important to be a patriot, than to be in line with my own personal values.  That’s what happened to Germany.  Everyone sat around and said, “It’s all about Germany.” all the while following leadership blindly and turning a blind eye to the atrocities that were being committed around them.  I for one am not going to participate in that nonsense for one second.
