NIGHT RUNNER
SICK!

I love it.  Definitley 80s influenced… Definitley “sound of now”. Definitley a HIT for Duran Duran (is it the best thing they have ever done!? Not at all. Butttttttttt we need these guys back on the charts to get the younger generation familiar with who they are.)

Cheers!

Check out Night Runner here at the Entertainment Weekly:

Sound quality is awful at EW, ewww smile

The song is OK, funky and dark, with heavy emphasis on the drums and the bassline. Has a definitive 80’s influence and sounds a bit like a Nile Rodgers (Chic) production (Notorius, Wild Boys) with some sweeping synth layers during the second verse reminiscent of an outtake from Michael Jackson’s “Thriller” or “Bad” albums (both produced by Quincy Jones).

Neat, i like this darkside sound they gave the track. So used to hearing the classic synth, but this retouch is definitely something any music fan has gotta check out. Speaking of Timbaland, i also own JT’s FutureSex, and Nelly Furtado’s “Loose”. Its almost like a “triforce’ of sound, if you will.

I hope they work on more collab tunes like this one, its neat to get that 80’s sound back. Miss it much.

Wow, what a combination..! I think I’m liking it too, though I really need to find a better quality version. The bassline really detracts from everything else there. I could be wrong, but I feel like there’s more Timb on there than Justin, like Timb thought he’d call over Justin just to share the experience or something. idk. it’s good though, I can see myself getting hooked on it for a minute :)
