The Racer rides again.

In dire need of repetitive transcranial magnetic stimulation to Brodmann Area 46, coupled with stem cell treatment.

I went through this last night. It’s god-awful and cringe-worthy.

Always a home run or a foul.  Such is the way.

There is some real bullshot in the middle.  I didn’t hate every last moment of it but overall breaks are in a tired state (so is this electrorock, which might as well be electroclash).  I will admit to enjoying track #2 as well as that Burufunk remix near the end for the nostalgic vocal factor, though.  I like them both for their particular old skool homages, in fact, lol.  The rest, meh.

You’d better at least rate appropriately, Rage, if you’re not going to post your thoughts there. wink

I don’t even want to listen to this if it’s anything like that other set that got talked about elsewhere...that Burufunk sound (or any pseudo-trance wannabe-prog break track) is, agreed, played out.

[Still brooding over the mediocre-but-should’ve-been-stellar Break On Through remix.  Some argue that, like a handful of other ‘iconic’ artists, The Doors can’t be remixed.  Maybe not MUCH of The Doors can be remixed, and remixed memorably, but this could have been done and done well, but became a track-of-the-week right too quick.  At least it’s better than the Crystal Method’s Doors remix.]

with this negative commentary, im also avoiding this like the plauge. ack. Never thought it would get this bad, but it happens.

*btw BT’s “break on through” rmx i enjoy on a daily basis.. i found it out by mistake while playing NFS Underground 2 when my friend had the bass set @ max.. i felt my body being lifted off the ground.

I’m partial but this more recent Hybridized download is a bit more artistically appealing:  http://www.hybridized.org/sets/464 wink
