this is a bit obscure, but if you’re familiar with DJ Krush’s material, please indulge me and check out the song on this fan created myspace page for him. the one i’m interested in says “London Funk Allstars” but based on my searches I’m pretty sure that’s a complete mislabel?

dj krush - jazzanova - coffeetalk

it’s the third song in the playlist, and it’s gotta be the most beautiful, haunting trip hop piece i’ve ever heard. but i have no clue what record to find it on, and i’m pretty desperate at this point. does anyone happen to know?

the creator of that myspace page hasn’t logged in for a year so i’m not hopeful of finding out from him/her.

i thought maybe one possibility is if it is off of this 2xCD release from Ninja Tune -

Cold Krush Cuts

thanks in advance

desperately,
j

Mystery solved. here’s the scoop for anyone who might care:

The track is called “Going Down” by Funki Porcini. It appears as the last track in a DJ Krush mix (disc 1 of ColdKrushCuts released by Ninjatune, disc 2 being mixed by Coldcut)

Song originally appears on Funki Porcini’s 1996 album “Love, Pussycats and Carwrecks”
