Sunset Festival - Vinoy Park
This is a new festival (second year) and its right on the water. Last year it was in October and the weather was perfect. Probably the same this year, but maybe a bit cooler at night. Still shorts weather, unless we have a big cold front.
Anyways, Crystal Method are a dj set (do they even do anything else live anymore?), Monk has Hallucination On Film and i’m sure others will be announced. Last year there was Rabbit In the Moon, Ferry Corsten, Carl Cox, Darude, Baby Anne… should be a good time and I live only a few minutes from the venue.

Hey, just stumbled across this page and thought I’d leave a comment.
I noticed that BT is participating in a project called “Turning the Tables (on global warming).”
I think it’s great that he’s active in political causes… but I’m here to protest.
I think politics and electronic music should be 100% separate. In my opinion, associating dance music with ANY sort of political cause or movement will be the death of dance as we know it.
The dance scene has done a good job resisting being taken over by outside influences. Sure it’s commercialized… yeah and maybe we can’t call it a rave anymore in CO… but so what. Dance music is still alive… it’s even become one of the fastest growing genres of music! One of the reasons for that is that dance music has never stood for anything more than dancing and having a good time. LETS KEEP IT THAT WAY!!!
I’m not going to sit here and tell you to boycott BT (he’s far too talented for that). And I’m not going to tell you to not go to any Turning The Tables events. You can make up your own damn minds. Besides, boycotts never work anyway.
But I am going to tell you to be careful not to politicize dance music. It’s global warming now… next year, abortion… after that, gun control. Before you know dance music could actually start to influence politics. And that’s the LAST thing we want. ‘Cause then all eyes are on us.

Sure I’m gutted he isn’t playing Fabric which is my spiritual home, but you can’t be picky.

I put the chance of him actually being there around 50/50, but, again, 50/50 is better than nil.
